There is a significant action, which is taking place in the sphere of e-Health globally by leaders in health care and hi-tech industries to fully harness the benefits available through convergence of the Internet and health care. In fact, e-Health is today’s tool for substantial productivity gains, while providing tomorrow’s instrument for restructured, citizen-centred health care. There are many examples of successful e-Health developments taking place in Asia including health information networks, electronic health records, telemedicine services, wearable and portable monitoring systems, and health portals. There is a lot more which can be done in the health sector for providing better health care and services, especially for the poor communities.

eHealth Asia 2007 aims to provide a platform to discuss the recent trends and emerging issues in the development of Information & Communication science and technology and its integration in healthcare systems.
